Facts and figures

LOCATION

The municipality of Borbon is located 82.7 kms. northeast of Cebu province. It is bounded on the north by Tabogon; on the south by Sogod; on the west by Tabuelan; and on the east by the Camotes Sea.

 

TOPOGRAPHY

Borbon is mostly hilly with 75 percent of its total area of 2,952.65 hectares made up of moderately sloping hills. Flat lands are few and can be found mostly in the barangays along the coast.

 

PARISH

Established as a parish on 15 September 1862. Borbon honors San Sebastian martyr as the patron saint and the town fiesta is being celebrated every January 20th. Current parish priest is Fr. Mackoy Villamor.
